Profile

Jennifer WuMy work and life is largely informed by my love for popular culture and history through the ages. And bad taste, whatever that entails.

I completed a Bachelor of Design (Visual Communication) at Monash University in 2009. I have just completed the Bachelor of Visual Communication (Honours), also at Monash, with a visual outcome that celebrates kitsch and the culture of excess.

My love for literature, books and the written word spurs a deeper fascination for typography, type design, publication and editorial design. Apart from making designs and doing what I do best, I hope to write my own fictional novel (likely some absurdist post-modern pastiche parody in the essence of Jasper Fforde).

I have been a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society since 2008, short-listed for VCE Top Arts 2006 by the National Gallery of Victoria, and had numerous articles published online and in print. Notably, my Honours project is featured in the latest issue of *bespoke* zine and my essay included in Meta Journal, a collaborative publication created by my Monash peers, questioning what design means in our local and broader contexts.
